The Lord has commanded for us to praise him?(i think) When it said children, somewhere in the bible is says we should be come humble like children to enter the kingdom of heaven or something like that. When we praise we are hmble and we give all the righteous glory to the Lord are God. He was he is and he will always be the risen lamb of GOD. IDK that might be sooo wrong but I tried. Timothy will you email me and tell me? OH and I love these you should keep doin it.

Hi Annie, thanks for contributing your input.

Here are some verses that go along with what you said: (note: you wioll get more out of some of them if read in context).

    RE PRAISE:
    1 Chronicles 16:25
For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He also is to be [reverently] feared above all so-called gods

    Psalm 7:17
I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His rightness and justice, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

    Psalm 9:11
Sing praises to the Lord, Who dwells in Zion! Declare among the peoples His doings!

    Psalm 33:2
Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; sing praises to Him with the harp of ten strings.

    Isaiah 12:5
Sing praises to the Lord, for He has done excellent things [gloriously]; let this be made known to all the earth.

    Isaiah 42:10
Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, the islands and coastal regions and the inhabitants of them [sing a song such as has never been heard in the heathen world]!

    Jeremiah 20:13
Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For He has delivered the life of the poor and needy from the hands of evildoers

    Romans 15:11
And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise Him!

    Ephesians 5:19
Speak out to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, offering praise with voices [ and instruments] and making melody with all your heart to the Lord,

    Hebrews 13:15
Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.

    Revelation 19:5
Then from the throne there came a voice, saying, Praise our God, all you servants of His, you who reverence Him, both small and great!

    RE HUMILITY:
    2 Chronicles 7:14
If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

    Psalm 147:6
The Lord lifts up the humble and downtrodden; He casts the wicked down to the ground

    Isaiah 66:2
For all these things My hand has made, and so all these things have come into being [by and for Me], says the Lord. But this is the man to whom I will look and have regard: he who is humble and of a broken or wounded spirit, and who trembles at My word and reveres My commands.

    Matthew 5:3
Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous– with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

    Matthew 18:4
Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving] is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

    Matthew 23:12
Whoever exalts himself [ with haughtiness and empty pride] shall be humbled (brought low), and whoever humbles himself [whoever has a modest opinion of himself and behaves accordingly] shall be raised to honor.

    James 1:21
So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.

    James 4:6
But He gives us more and more grace ( power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it).

    James 4:10
Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].
    1 Peter 5:5
Likewise, you who are younger and of lesser rank, be subject to the elders (the ministers and spiritual guides of the church)–[giving them due respect and yielding to their counsel]. Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility [as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you, with freedom from pride and arrogance] toward one another. For God sets Himself against the proud (the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful)–[and He opposes, frustrates, and defeats them], but gives grace (favor, blessing) to the humble.

Now, the best answer for all of this is, it gets us all into the word and talking about it with each other. So any answer with scripture to back it up is a good one. You were definitely on track.

I e-mailed you the actual answer I was hinting at…
